Built to Work Together From the Ground Up
You likely didn’t buy a house in South Florida for the inside of it. You bought it for the sunlight, water, and months when the door can stay open.
Then, you did what everyone else does. You finished the kitchen, floors, and bathrooms, and you left the largest room in the house without a floor, without a ceiling, and without much reason to walk out into it.
That room is the yard, and finishing it is what we do. Deck & Drive has been designing and building complete outdoor living spaces across South Florida for 20+ years. We're the highest-rated and most referred paver installer in the region, with hundreds of verified homeowner reviews on Google, and everything we build is guaranteed for life.

The Deck & Drive Difference
Pavers one year, a pergola the next, an outdoor kitchen after that. Each piece gets built without the others in mind, which is how the pergola ends up landing where no footing was poured, and the gas line gets chased through a patio that was finished a year earlier.
A finished outdoor space needs three things:
A surface engineered to support weight
A structure that makes a Florida afternoon survivable
A place to cook that doesn't send you back indoors
Nearly every outdoor living contractor in South Florida starts at the surface and works up from whatever they find. We design the space as a whole and build it in the right order, starting underneath, with a base engineered to carry the pergola and the kitchen before either one is built.
Our Five-Star EverCraft System
EverCraft is Deck & Drive's exclusive outdoor living system. It's built in three parts, designed to work as one:
PaverCraft: The base, engineered and load-rated to carry whatever the design puts above it
ShadeCraft: Our architectural metal pergola, tied into that base rather than fastened to its face
Palm Series: Our marine-grade outdoor kitchen, with the water, gas, and power run before any finish goes on
We design, build, and guarantee our EverCraft systems for life. The same designer plans all three parts, the same crew installs them, and what you end up with is a finished outdoor room rather than three separate projects that happened in the same yard.

The patio is the most-used surface in any yard, so we design it first. We install PaverCraft pavers on an engineered base sized to carry whatever gets built on top of it, whether the project is a small courtyard or a full entertaining terrace.

A pool deck takes more wear than any other surface on the property, between chlorine, standing water, and constant foot traffic. We select materials that hold up to those conditions and extend the surface so the pool area and the patio function as one connected space.

Make the middle of the afternoon usable again. A pergola shades the patio, and because we build the base, post locations and footings are set during design rather than cut in later. Electric shades, fans, feature walls, televisions, and speakers can be built into the structure.

Cook without leaving the party. Our outdoor kitchens use marine-grade cabinetry, stone and granite counters, and appliances specified for the outdoors, with water, gas, and electrical routed before any surface above them is finished.

See the Whole Thing Before It Exists
The hardest part of a full outdoor build is that you're approving something you can't picture. Four contractors mean four sets of assumptions, no single drawing, and coordinating across the paver company, pergola company, electrician, and plumber.
Deck & Drive is one company handling it all. Your expert designer will measure your property, work through materials and colors with you, and produce a custom photorealistic 3D rendering of the finished space, with the surface, structure, and kitchen shown together.

One Licensed Contractor for the Entire Project
Florida is unusually permissive about licenses. A company can operate on one it leases or buys from a third party, which is legal, common, and a major reason this state has a reputation as the Wild West of home improvement.
That creates problems for homeowners like you. The crew in your yard may hold no license of its own, answer to no building inspector, and leave nobody you can reach when a post shifts or a line leaks.
Now multiply it by four, because that's how many companies a typical outdoor project runs through. One lays the pavers, one raises the pergola, one sets the kitchen, and one wires it.
Deck & Drive holds its own general contractor license and builds complete outdoor spaces rather than single trades. One company draws it, permits it, clears it with your association, and builds it. Plus, everything we build is guaranteed for life.
We Deal With the City and Your HOA So You Don't Have To
Two approvals stand between a signed contract and a finished yard, and neither one is yours to chase.
Permitting
Cities across South Florida want to review permanent construction before it starts, and no two of them handle it quite the same way. We complete the paperwork, submit it to whichever office has jurisdiction over your address, and stay with it until it's issued. Whatever the city charges lands on your invoice at exactly the number the city set. Some municipalities move quickly, and some don't. We'll tell you which one you're dealing with before you sign anything. Boca Raton, for instance, waives the permit entirely on paver driveways.
HOA Approvals
Many communities throughout South Florida have HOAs. If yours does, an architectural committee reviews projects before any work begins, and that review covers essentially everything we'd build outside your walls.
A divided project is where that gets painful. Hire four companies, and each one assumes somebody else is handling the paperwork, so the application never gets written and it ends up back on your desk. Since the entire build is ours, we submit one application covering the full design and carry it through review ourselves. There's no charge for that work; the typical turnaround runs about 15 days, and the approval reaches our office before it reaches yours.
Built to Last and Guaranteed for Life
Most contractors install and move on.
Our approach is different because the product we install is built to a standard that makes callbacks rare.
PaverCraft is produced for Deck & Drive and sold to nobody else, and it's installed by the same company that designed it. When one company supplies the material and lays it, there's no argument later about which one failed.

Common Questions About Outdoor Living in South Florida
Yes, your HOA will likely need to approve an outdoor kitchen. Nearly every community in South Florida operates under an association, and a permanent structure with gas, water, and power falls inside architectural review.
A slab cracks where the ground moves. Individual pavers flex instead, and a damaged section can be lifted and reset without disturbing the surrounding surface. In soil that shifts the way South Florida's does, that difference compounds over 20 years.
The installation itself is fast. Many of our projects go in within a single day, and the crew is on site for a matter of days at most.
Every project we complete is guaranteed for life. The terms are written into your contract, and your representative reviews them with you before you sign.
Financing is available through our “Pave Now, Pay Later” program, which lets you move forward with your outdoor living project without waiting until you've saved the full amount.
Paver surfaces hold up well under South Florida conditions because individual pavers flex slightly with ground movement rather than cracking like poured concrete can. When one section is damaged, it can be lifted and reset without disturbing the surrounding surface. In soil that shifts the way South Florida's does, that difference compounds over twenty years.
